Do you remember what fonts you used for those icons? Any/all of them, it doesn't matter. I'm just curious, because I have trouble with using text in my icons.
Oh, damn. I can't use pre-made screencaps to make animations. I have to be able to go frame-by-frame and take them myself. For me it's not so much a problem of knowing how to animate as it is how to make the icon a small enough file size to use on LJ. :/
I use Adobe ImageReady, which is a web-centric extension of Photoshop. I also have Macromedia Fireworks, but only because I took a Fireworks/Dreamweaver class. I like ImageReady better. I'm not sure of any free/open source programs that allow you to animate though, sorry.
I have no idea so I blindly guessed on that one, I'm still noobish to icon making even if I've been at it for years now. Even if I make my fair share of crap icons once an awhile. I'm personally not sure how to screen cap since I have a mac and my friends tend to have windows, so they tend not to know.
I have Adobe photoshop CS and ImageReady, I do have flash but it refuses to work, I try and turn it on and it auto shuts off on me while it loads. Its okay, I'll figure it out one of these days.
I will say that I really like all of your icons, even if you think they're crap. :3
You have Photoshop and ImageReady?! Well there you go! The way I do it, I get my screencaps, layer them in order/crop/resize in PS, then take it into ImageReady to animate. There's an "animation" toolbox you can make visible there, it's not too hard to operate. Make a new frame, make a new layer visible, make another frame, another layer visible... ImageReady was really daunting to me at first, but it's really not bad.
Aww thanks babe *cue zee hugs* Also even if you asked a long time ago, I finally got the FF.net version the link to the story with Leo having a tiny fetish with blades. http://www.fanfiction.net/s/3476743/1/ Its lovely turtlcest though also only mentions the blade intrest in two chapters~
Yup last time I checked, I'll take note of this (copy and paste here I come~) I'll try and do that with some pictures I have since I'm still new on the screencapping my own stills too. Mainly since I'm hesitant to ask and most of my friends have diffrent systems than I do.
